One Pot Sausage Pasta

Today I was watching a cooking show called Chopped and my mom said I could make lunch using any thing that we had in the kitchen. I decided to make one pot sausage pasta.

Here's how to make it.

One Pot Sausage Pasta

Ingredients:

One pound of mild italian sausage
1/2 of an onion- diced
4 cloves of garlic-diced
12 oz of pasta
3 to 4 cups of chicken broth

Instructions:

Put the sausage, onion, and garlic in a large pot over medium heat until the sausage is cooked.

Pour 3 cups of the broth into the sausage mixture.

Turn to high heat and let it boil.

Add the pasta and let it cook for approximately 15 minutes or until the pasta is soft and the broth is absorbed ( you may need to add more broth).

Let cool slightly and serve.

Copy Cat Olive Garden Bread Sticks

Today I made lunch for my family again. I was originally going to make soft pretzels But i couldn't
find any good recipes. Instead I made Olive Garden bread sticks.  These bread sticks don't taste exactly like the ones at Olive Garden But are still really good.

Here's how to make them.

Copy Cat Olive Garden Bread Sticks.

Bread:

3 cups of warm water.
1 T of yeast.
5 to 6 cups of flour.
2 T of sugar.
1 teaspoon of salt.
2 T of softened salted butter.

Topping:

1/2 a cup of salted butter.
2 T of garlic powder.
1/4 a teaspoon of salt.

Instructions:

In a bowl combine the yeast sugar and water let stand  for 5 minutes.

Add the butter salt and 2 cups of the flour mix until combined.

Add 3 more cups of flour (more if needed) until a ball forms.

Remove the dough from the bowl and knead it.

Grease the bowl and place the dough back in.

Cover and let it rise for 40 minutes.

Dust your hands and a cutting board with flour and place the dough on the board.

Cut the dough into approximately 16 pieces and form all the pieces into snakes.

Place the snakes onto pans and let them rest for 15 minutes.

Pre heat your oven to 400 F and put the bread sticks in for 6 minutes.

Melt one stick of butter in a microwave safe bowl and melt it.

Mix in the salt and garlic powder and mix them together.

Take your bread sticks out of the oven and brush some of your topping over the top.

Return your bread sticks to the oven for another 6 minutes.

Take them out of your oven the oven again and brush the with more topping.

Let them cool slightly and enjoy.
